Re: Tribal help
I practice tribals on my arm a lot. You might want to go w/ a thinner brush. Here's some I've done:
Re: Tribal help

Re: Tribal help
Lots and lots of practice of thin to thick to thin lines. Good brush control and just knowing what the right consistency the paint needs to be is all about experience and practice.
Re: Tribal help
JBax said it. It's all about brush control and that comes with practice, practice, practice. Start with straight lines and when you can do those, make thick-to-thin "C's" and when you can do those, try "S's" and keep going adding evenly spaced parallel lines. You'll get there!
Re: Tribal help
Best piece of advice I ever heard on tribals was from Pashur at LaFete. He said that the negative space between strokes needed to be about the same width as the strokes themselves. In other words, if you paint thin delicate strokes, have them very close together. If you make bold, thick strokes, you can space them further apart.
Thanks alot : ) Awesome

Re: Tribal help
SweetCreations... why are you reposting everyone's posts without any comments/replys?
Oh... just noticed you are typing you responses as the subject instead of in the posts....
