Hey Every one,

My names Teela, im a 24 yr old mother of two and have realised the best thing in the world second to my family... turning a hobby into a career. Ive just started my small face painting business and i hope in 12 to 24 months you'll here its a great success. I am attacking market at the moment to get known and practice as well as donating my time to social events like the local sports centre. FREE MARKETING have to love it.

I am starting with baby steps and with children, but my dream is to branch into the adult industry and pregnant art. If any one has tips/ hints or helpful websites id sure love to know about them and would appreciate the help.

Im from Australia and the town i live in is very untouched by this industry on a professional level, there are two clowns/ fairies tho so heaps of growth potential, just a marketing hurdle.

I look forward to reading your posts and topics, big grey areas i have come across are the adult designs and boy designs i cant seem to find too many. HELP

Cool. I like Toowoomba its pretty. I lived in Brissy for a while. It's practically a small city now though so you should go well with your business. How are you guys going with the flood clean up? Its been kinda bugging me lately how the media have forgotten QLD now that the drama is over...

Hey every one,

Peachey my home town is darwin, i think i spent about 13 yrs of my life there i love it and miss it so very much, have a lot of close friends up that way.

JBM (Riana?) toowoomba has its perks and quirks i lived in briz for 5 yrs and much prefered it. But toowoomba is where i think we'll be calling home home for some time now and its not so bad. RECOVERY from the floods is moving along nicely, the council is trying to work quite fast. apart from a few shops that are still closed due to renovations because of the flood you wouldnt even know it had occured on such a magnitude. Theres still a lot of work to be done on a few of the roads though.

Any how on a lighter note i go on a gig tomorrow out at condamine which was also heavily affected from the same flooding and is about 3 hours s/w out of Toowoomba for flood relief day. Cant wait to put a smile on the little kiddies faces and let them know it'll be ok. Big day tho any where from 150 to 300 children going. i Just keep thinking smiles, marketing avenue and loads of practice lol... LOADS of practice. A little bit daunting and scary actually but i think my first smile will make it all worth it.

Chantal the fairy from Darwin joined the forum recently. I live in Katherine..We moved to Nhulunbuy after Cyclone Tracy and I've lived in Katherine since 1977. One of my daughters' lives in Darwin. She's a balloon twister the other lives at Humpty Doo.
Good luck for tomorrow, We had a huge cleanup after the 1998 flood here.
