I suppose that would be passable for volunteering at your local church festival (offering free face paint)

Oh my. She's much better at painting hubcaps.

I just commented on her page. I wrote a really long sweet message to her so she knew everyone didn't just want to beat her up, but the program only allowed a small amount of characters so I had to minimize it. I really hope she understands that the concern of everyone is that youtubers are educated correctly and not being taught to use paint that are not meant for the skin.

was she using bad paints? Looked like face paints to me... palmers and what not, right?

Well the kids video was cute...how old maybe 14 or 15? She has some potential. I think it was sweet... the rocket ship made me smile. But Palmers yuck...

I remember getting asked to buy some paints for our church group last year cause I face painted. I told them they had to order my kind of paints. "Well, we need it tonight...." so off to Hobby Lobby. I bought Snaz and thought about Palmers but I couldn't do it. It looked bad in the bottle. I went to party city and that stuff was terrible!!! It all looks like goopy paste!

The butterfly lady used neons...I didn't see the girls eyes swelling shut or anything...that gives me hope LOL...not saying anything about the painting except I did worry that she was going to gauge that poor girls eye out. She seemed to be pressing pretty hard!

The very first time, I ever ever face painted, I used palmers. I was asked by my church for a fall fest, because I am artistic, to face paint. They supplied the paints and brushes, I made up the designs..which looked fairly similar to the 101 video. Although I don't remember the paints being that lumpy, maybe I watered them down. It was the point when i realized I loved FPing! They weren't educated on what to buy and use, neither was I. However, I researched it on my own, and thank god, found this wonderful forum right off the back.

Reaching out to these people is the right thing to do. Offer them the tools a resources. Anyone who saw the wonderful face you all do, should be more than willing to do it the right way, with the right products. I think sending the link to this forum should have more than enough info.

If you ask me, if they don't want to learn the right way then they only need to be painting once a year at the church. Hope my church realizes how lucky they are to have 3 FPers that use good quality, and we aren't that bad with the applications either...haha
