what do you think of this dragon?
I've been trying to come up with a large dragon design... this one is basically a butterfly face with different lines, but what do you think of it?
Re: what do you think of this dragon?
I like that it seems to be a simple and fast design...the boys will love it, I bet!
Re: what do you think of this dragon?
Yep, I love the colours and the wing.mask idea. Great job.

I think this is a great fast pattern! Quick and sure to please. I also like your color choices!
Re: what do you think of this dragon?
I love it. I'm sure the boys will too. I do think maybe a little flame split cake on the wings and a bit thinner lines around the wings would jazz it up a bit, but I don't thing any boy would complain if they got one just like that.

It's awesome Perry! I do one realli similar that was inspired by Marcela's dragon mask in her masks book.

Re: what do you think of this dragon?
The colors are awesome Perry! I agree, if you edge it with a splitcake(Flame) it'll give it some depth. I've also found that doing any type of long thin line across a child's nose can be difficult. Dealing with the squirming & the nose it tricky. I painted a guy last night as Spiderman & he had one of those very think noses. My brush kept slipping off
Re: what do you think of this dragon?
I like it... Maybe nix the flame and make his body fatter? That would make the "dragon" part stand put more I think. If I put flames from my dragon, I usually just use gold glitter gel and the boys love it because it looks like fire and it was alot easier for me.
Re: what do you think of this dragon?
I agree with Amanda. When I do my dragon mask that is similar to that, I don't do flames either because the focus of the design is on the dragon, and there really isn't a whole heck of a lot of room for flames. But then, my dragon's body isn't that much bigger but I think it looks alright.
Here's my dragon mask... inspired by Marcela Murad:

Re: what do you think of this dragon?
I like the points on your wings, Punky
I don't use split cakes. I prefer to mix my colours on the spot... besides, I only use snaz and I'd have to make them all myself since no one sells snaz ones.

If you don't do a flame split, doing thicker black lines that vary in size (thick to thin) like Punky's would do the same thing - adding depth I think.
Re: what do you think of this dragon?
I like it Perry!
Great suggestion on the glitter gel Amanda, I am going to have to get some, does that come in a squeeze bottle and how fast does it dry?
Punky, I am loving your masks! your mom is adorable, you look just like her

Re: what do you think of this dragon?
Yeah, I use the glitter gels in the little squeeze bottles. Mark Reids brand is good because it has a really fine tip, but any other ones work just as well, you just have to put an extra little metal tip on them or else they make real thick lines. It takes longer for those to dry, but it usually isn't a problem unless someone has long hair that's loose and falling on their face. it's a really easy way to get lots of blind quick.

Re: what do you think of this dragon?
hahaha
Perry, who is that???
I love to take one design and have several uses....
Sophie gave me a dragon mask from 5 minute designs that is my number one boys design
I'll post my version (not to take away from any thing!) I just do not like to paint on the eyelids, I need to expand myself... and it is a mask, maybe I'll delete it
