Hi there, do nail art for little kids, i have a few pictures and was wondering if they are worth it to put on my site or if I need to take new ones.
Thanks!

Wow Maggie, how talented you are. I really love those doggies. So cute!

I don't know about your website. Over here there would centainly be a market for those nails. I wish you were closer, I would let you do my daugthers nails (and mine too).
I should do it and see where it goes. cheers

So worth it. I bought the Norad Nail art thingie and offer it for per teen parties with glitter tattoos and did 2 parties with it last year. Not a huge income but it gives the parents something for the older kids.
The look great.

hahaha, yup, that is what I meant Smile

Thanks so much for the compliments, few years ago I did about 5 parties with just nail art, the girls all go nuts! I charges the same as face painting and now I wonder if I should stick with that or have a different rate.

Glitter, what is the Norad nail thingy?

BTW these are all hand painted, no stickers/stamps.

Maggie, those are too cute! The pictures are pretty good, and you should certainly use them on your site, but I would zoom in on the cherries one because it's hard to see what's on those tiny little nails. Man, you must have a steady hand!

OMG your are extremely talented!!!!!!! I could barely polish my 6 year olds tiny nails with one color, or my own for that matter Sad . I couldn't imagine trying something like this. I would totally hire you!!!! I rarely offer advice, but I totally think you should add this to your services. Really So so so CUTE!!

I think the pics would look much better against a solid black background. I have sheets of black felt I use or black twin sheets, but you can also use a black shirt in a pinch. I just think it would look a tad more professional.

The nail art is SUPER CUTE! Let us know how it goes.

Lauri Smile thanks for making me smile!

Thanks Metina, next nails I paint I am going to use black as the background color, these were all taken over 3 or 4 years ago when I worked at the gym, Wow it's been that long.

Yes, it is fingernail polish and the designs are painted on with water based paint and then coated with clear nail polish.

Check your dollar tree too. I have eight different colors of detail polish (the kind with the super skilly liner brush) that I bought for $1 each.

Okay, let's just say my curiosity is peaked!

What does it cost in supplies to do one person do you think?
How long does it take to do one child?
How many kids do you think you could do in an hour?
Where do you get your supplies from?

This would be a good add on to the Glitter Tattoos. It's a natural fit I think. Right now, I'm doing face painting and glitter tattoos together at ppf events. Thanks for all the information.

I used to offer kids nail art......I actually don't know why I stopped. Might have to take that up again.

By all means Maggie add it. The more services you offere the more marketable you become.

Thinking I really need to take my own advice

Nail polish, tons of colors, when I see them on clearance, I snatch them Smile
Water base paint $5 It will last you forever!
Don't remember exactly, I had a party with about 20 young girls and I was there for less than 2 hours I think.
That also depends on what they pick, some times they one a nail in a different color and designs in different color as well.
I get my supplies from target or walmart, sally's beauty shop.

BTW I have done nails and glitter tattoos combined before.

Too cute!

I can't even paint my nails a clear color without ruining them! blushed laugh

I agree with Metina... a black background for future images would look very nice!

Good luck!

those are adorable maggie!!
i agree with all about black background. i think the photo that best shows your beautiful work is the puppy dog one. seems to be the best angle to actually see the detail and overall effect etc. Also make sure the models fingers are together rather than splayed out, it just looks more elegant. just my humble opinion anyway. Very Happy
