I decided that if I want to have a website with pictures of other than my face painted I need to act quick. I offered my kids a dollar each time they let me paint them. By the end of the month I'll be broke but with a full album for my website Smile

I WISH!
My son has Aspergers and has issues with touch/textures. He let me paint his face one time... with one color.... following explicit instructions. laugh
I dare say that he won't be my "go to" face. Luckily, I have several children in my family... and can paint them as I can schedule it!
My nephew was here this weekend (7 years old). I'd paint him, then he'd paint me. who knew how far these little snazaroo paints would go?!?! I've certainly got my 8.00$ out of them!

Next weekend is my cousin's (2nd/ she'll be 9) birthday. They're having it at the skating rink. I've been practicing nonsense strokes... thinking that when I get my neons I'll be able to paint her/them. The rink has tons of blacklights! Free faces, lots of practice!

That is funny. My son hates to be face painted. But, fortunately Hannah loves it. LOL, that is why you see mostly her on my menu boards. I went to Wal-Mart and bought one of those $6 bags of treats that you put into the pinatas and give them a handful of that to get my wicked work done LOL!

Kathy, I have a friend whose son has Asbergers, he is the sweetest boy. He too gives very detailed directions with things. Smile Have fun next weekend at the skate party it sounds like a blast!

i can usually get my middle daughter (9)to let me face paint her with little bribes. like changing the games on her ds evolution card or letting her play the wii. the older one(11) has to be made feel guilty to let me paint unless it is for her benefit like a dress up disco. my youngest daughter( 4) loves to be painted but wont sit still for more than 2 minutes . you would think i would have volunteer's aplenty with 3 girls but sadly no. but i do get my 4 yr old niece every now and then and she loves it. pity they live so fay away :'(
klucreations my middle child also has aspergers syndrome, but luckily she has the social side of it and not the textual!

I pay them $1 per design... and often still have to MAKE them get painted. Ahhh, if only they knew how lucky other kids think they are.

I beg, plead & bribe my kids with money & Starbucks. My youngest rarely gets painted because he has tactile/sensory issues. It has to be a design he really wants.
My teens are getting into the idea of art on the backs & shoulders.
Mainly I paint myself these days & always have a camera & photo release forms for parents at gigs. I need to update some of my web pics with more current designs.

hahaha! I am glad I am not the only one that has to use this type of
resources Smile
Wish I could use computer, wii, tv, ds's but they really don't watch or play those. They like to play a lot with barbies, legos, school.

Clayton, I hate webkinz! What a rip off.

Mine aren't old enough to understand bribery, but sometimes I wish they were. At least then I might be able to paint something other than a moving target. My husband calls my oldest "The Boxer" when I paint her. She spends the entire time "ducking and weaving" from the brush.

lol!
That is SO my daughter! If I paint someone else, she's like "Mom! Why don't you ever paint me like that?!" Then the moment I try and paint her its bob and weave....jump out of the chair every ten seconds.... scratch

Oh my gosh. I beg my daughter (will be 5 Feb. 12th) to let me paint her. Bribe usually gets me a YES. (of course with eye rolls.)
I get so excited to practice a new design I have been working on.
Get my paints all ready.....get her seated....and beging wetting my paint brush.
All of a sudden.....NO mommy, I am painting you. Not me. OR okay mommy, if I can paint you first, then you can paint me. But, only a pink kitty. Every darn time....a pink kitty. OMgosh. What a Face
I need another child.

I don;t think they realize how lucky they are. How cool that your mommy or brother is a face painter.

...argh! Another post I thought I made and it isn't here. Anyway,

I pay my 6 year old daughter $2/hour to be face painted. Then, I tell her that since I'm paying her, it's her job and it's part of her job to let me paint whatever I want and to NOT MOVE her face. Sometimes she won't even do it for that - she makes me agree to let her paint me.

Hahaha Whitney, too funny about "the boxer"
Gina, I like the idea of making them look at it as a job, I am going to use that one because my daughter only wants me to paint little things.

It made for a rather lopsided look once or twice!

Wow, I am shocked that your kids will not do that for you! My 6 year old girl likes to get painted, but the 4 yr old boy doesn't, but if I ask him to do it for me and explain I need to practice a design, he lets me. His only caveat is that he gets to wash it off as soon as I am done with pictures. Guess I really am lucky! Smile
