I'm not crazy

Ok guys, I don't know if you've noticed, but I have been posting a lot lately. It's for multiple reasons, but for one major one. Because of our current lack of childcare in the new place that we live, I am not working. Because I'm not working, I have wanted to use the extra time to really perfect my skills and become a much better painter. I'm putting together a portfolio that I'm considering using to try to get into a world renown art university. Which is all part of my big dreams for my face painting business. But anyways, long story short, please don't get annoyed with my frequent posts. It's just because you guys inspire me and bring challenges to my painting and make me better so I've found myself here a lot more than I ever have before. Thanks for being so amazing!

That is soooo much like my own story! Got totally inspired/addicted when I lost my job in November and then had the time to throw myself into this! Although I don't have your level of talent, I'm striving to build a portfolio and get my name 'out there' for my home market with the largest target being the adult market (not excluding the kids tho) I have 2 model shoots and 2 teen birthday parties coming up and I'm hoping these along with other unknown and yet unpresented opportunities arrise. THIS forum motivates me, inspires me and the high bar of talent keeps me on my toes to improve!!

It does lead me to one question tho...'perfect your skills'?!?!? Seriously????? Have you looked at your avatar lately??!??? I think you have been there, done that!!

Thanks guys and Mehndi it does seem that are circumstances are quite comparable. Thanks for all the kind words regarding my work. You are so talented and it means a lot coming from you. I was just on the phone with Linda last week telling her how you never produce anything that looks like beginner work. Your stuff looks like you've been painting for years.

Awwww, she is so cute and what gorgeous dark eyes! I can't believe she sits for you.

Lol! She doesn't. I'm lucky to get three stokes in on one design. She loves being painted and laughs and asks for it, but she still dodges the brush like her life depends on it. It's very confusing for me. I sometimes feel like I shouldn't paint her, but then keeps asking so I do it. But her painting me is what she really loves.
