anyone else get the sense that this thread is just to post the link to selling oil paintings? Not meaning to offend, but it says on all the packages how to remove the paints.

Baby shampoo (which does not sting the eyes) and water.
I also use for the difficult collors the cleansing cream of grimas.

Isn't that the same person who wanted a lot of information because they were starting a blog?

Hmm/But don't use babywipes if you can help it.

every reaction to face paints case I heard in the last few years was traced to removing it with babywipes. My own face gets sore if i use baby wipes on it when i'm practicing.

AND having had my hair dyed yesterday, the trainee was trying to mop up splashes of dye on my cheek (I put my glasses on to take a call when it was all on my head) with soap & water which didnt work at all. the hair dresser handed her a baby wipe and it came off - yuk, strong cleaning action!

Most paints say soap & water ONLY. I advise a face clothe too. Thats it.

I've found for my skin Cetaphil Cleanser for Gentle Skin works great. I still recommend tear free shampoo for my clients because they aren't washing their faces as much as I am, but my skin was getting burnt by the perfumes in it... of course I can paint & rewash several times as I practice a design over & over. The Cetaphil cleans well, doesn't irritate the eyes or burn the skin(make sure to get the gentle skin one as the regular one is not so gentle). It's in the face cleanser/makeup section at most drug stores, walmart, etc.

I love Cetaphil. I buy it in bulk at Costco.

i trashed my face using baby wipes after practicing for too long. It swelled up, my eyes were all red and swollen. BUT, thats after using them constantlly to practice. I think if you are just taking off one face after you get home, its ok to tell clients to use baby wipes.

of course we help people who are just starting out... it's just hard to weed out spammers when people come on with only one or two posts to their name and are posting links to completely unrelated and unsolicited businesses. I mainly questioned the original post because while I'm ok with "silly questions," it seemed like a guise for posting a link to the business that had nothing to do with face painting.

people are mean and rude on this site...

Free website is that bad? If so explain why? Thanks for all CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
