Carnival theme party

Any suggestions on face painting ideas? I'm asking because "carnival" you think clowns, however some children are afraid of white face clowns and others can seem scary

cotton candy, merry go round horses, top of a ferris wheel on the forehead with people sitting in the seats, candy apples, one of those game booths...choose your game, balloon darts, fish bowl with a ping pong ball in it and the word winner dressed up with lights around it....

I think I want to even try some of these.... See look what you started, lol

I had a carnival themed birthday and that just meant that they were hiring people who would generally work at carnivals... We didn't use specific carnival face paintings per se...
