Okay, since every one else is doing it, and I just added new things to my website, can ya'll go and give me a quick check, please? These are just some pages I added to my regular business website (hence the vhdesign.com url)- I am planning on getting my own domain name for this business but that is further down the road Smile

Thanks a bunch, ya'll!

I like it, but I remember liking the way you had the title before... I think the title was bigger maybe? And on the FAQ's the title or questions should be more prominent than the answer maybe... OH and the gallery page is so stretched on my end that I have to scroll left to right to see everything. Those are the only things I see... Very Happy Hope that helps some.

Yes, that helps tremendously! I have a huge monitor because I design houses in my regular day job, so I wasn't having to scroll so I didn't catch that! Thanks- I'll try and change that tonight. And I'll make sure and change the FAQ's page... I did that one really quick.

I changed the title because I had several people tell me that it overwhelmed the pages LOL

I c hanged my pricing page and it may be a little too much information and too confusing. Can someone check it out for me and tell me if it confuses you?
Thanks!

I don't find what you are saying confusing, but I do find that there is a LOT of writing.... after the first page or two that I looked at, it was all just too much and I started just scanning the pictures and ignoring all the text. I know there is SO much that we want to tell everyone, but maybe try to pare it down a little bit or maybe it's because it's all centered that it's not processing right in my head?

The pictures are all gorgeous and the site looks beautiful.

Yeah, I was afraid of that Sad I have alot of packages now! I didn't realize until I started putting all the information in on that one page LOL

I have a princess party next weekend so I was thinking of taking lots of pictures and making a separate page for the princess and pirate theme parties, with the party info and prices there. Would it help if I separated each 'service' on its own page with its party and pricing info separately?

I would like to still have one page where they can compare all the different packages for the best option for them... maybe just a table with what options are included with each?

Hmmm... gotta think this out a little bit. Thanks so much for taking a look at it for me!!

a table or very brief short form points for each?
I only have 3 party packages, so it seems ok to leave it with point forms, but if I had much more, I'd probably consider using a table too. I separated my party packages from hourly events on different pages, but I wouldn't have a separate page for each thing or you might have people just clicking on the page for the one that sounds cheapest LOL

What I was thinking of doing was having a page labeled "pricing" and have the table there with links to separate pages for each thing that gives all the information, pictures, etc. That way, they can see the different packages at once on the pricing page, then click on the links for each to get more information, so there wouldn't be so much on the one page. Think that would work?

Take your home address off. Since no one comes to your home, it's not necessary & there are creeps out there. If you get a client, you can always give them the info w/ your contract. Just my thought.

I looked at your site a few days ago and there was so much on the first page that I just left. I looked at it again just now and it was much easier on the eyes. It is way easier to navigate and find things now. Good job!

Thank you, thank you! Those are the things I needed to hear!

Linda, I know what you mean. I run a home design business and I had someone show up on my doorstep who had driven from Chicago (I am on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!!) without calling or emailing or anything to set up an appointment or to even check if I would be home. Kinda freaked me out a little! But the problem is once your business name is online, all anyone has to do is a search and it shows a map right to your home. Doesn't do much good to take off your address and I've always been taught not to trust websites that wouldn't show an address to show they're legit and not a scam. It's a toss-up. I have to put an address on my regular business website and since this is part of it, I think I should keep it. My kids are all teenagers (and older) now so I don't have to worry as much. Someone who has young children might want to do that.
