First Baby Bump-should have sketched 1st

Did this on my friend who is scheduled for a c-section, 'cause she knew I needed a belly. Trouble was, we moved it up a day & I didn't sketch it out 1st or practice...just discussed theme & color & dove in. Creabella posted a belly practice she did using a beach ball. GREAT idea. My friend liked this, but those butterflies are awful...& I usually love doing flies! Live & learn.

Since they don't know what they're having, there were pink roses & blue daisies.

Well, I have to thank Studio Joli for the practise beachball. After the course, during which I made the designs, poster on the bellypainting thread, we were allowed to take the beachball home with us. So, that we, after washing it off, can use it again for practise.



I think it looks nice. And the first one is always a bit uncomfortable.
At least it was a real belly!

The roses are beautiful and the colors are great. They look pretty happy, especially the little one! Good job.

they look very happy with it and that's the most important thing! I've made bellypaintings I didn't really like myself or parts of it...ut he mothers to be likes it anyway!

All I can say is YAY, PAT!!!!  

Those butterflies,whether or not they are you worst or best, are whimsical and make this family smile! The colors are really pretty and I think you did a terrific job for not having it worked out in advance!!!

I LOVE the colours. If this was your first belly, you have NOTHING to worry about! You did a lovely job, and look how happy you made them:D   Sometimes we are our own worst critics!!
