CRAZY HAIR?? Who does it and how?

I've been seeing more listings for "crazy hair"....

Dumb question, but what exactly is it, and how's it done?

Does anyone on here do it? Pictures/Ideas??

I think it's building up hair on top of a girl's head using a combination of elastic bands, twisted pipe cleaners, braids, and ribbons.... adding some color spray or lighty/blinky stuff for even more funk.

Google "Fair-do's" is a registred trade mark, of the most professional crazy hair I have ever seen, they charge from 10 to 30 bucks and use their own formula paint that is really bold.

This is the crazy hair I do, I use the color spray they sell at stores and the chalk color, but I don't get the bold color, I thik if I try the airbrush face paint it may work.

Another thing you have to be aware of are the regulations about hair in your state, in the state of Florida you need a license to touch anybodys hair for money, that means if you want to charge for it you need a license, I got a hair braid that is just a 2 days training and teaches you about healthy regulations etc.

I wake up with crazy hair every morning.
I do not know exactly how it happens.

By a strange coincidence, I was thinking precisely the same thing when I saw the title of this thread. My hair doesn't need annnnnymore crazy.

It is also crazy INSIDE my head.

There's a company here in Belgium that does a 'poetic hair salon', that has a 'hairdresser' and a facepainter in it...
They put in flowers, butterflies, feathers, plastic forks, etc. and wind a whole story around it, so the hair matches whatever the hairdresser is saying...

oh, and they never use hairchalk, hair coloring spray, etc.

Thanks for the link, Tineke! They are very good! I would most definitely want to get a whackydo for my hair and a story to go along with it if I ever come to Belgium!

'Fair Do's' look like so much fun (although perhaps a little painful!!)
