Sick bay, just need to vent!

Since Monday my husband had been struck by the flue, and still he is feverish.
He went to see a doctor but there is not much we can do. Just stay in bed untill he feels better. He got an antibiotics to go with that.

Besides that, I do not feel great either.
I had a sort of cold, it kept on, so just after Christmas I went to the doctor. He gave me antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
It worked! ........ For a few days anyway and then it all started over again.
So I visited the doctor again last tuesday. He gave me another antibiotics treatment.
Hopefully it will work better this time.

The worst thing of all this is that our youngest daughter had her birthday last tuesday, and we are giving a party the day after tomorrow (Saturday)!!!
I am so desperatly hoping we will be feeling better by then.

It would be so disappointing for her of we would have to cancel her birthday party....

This round of flu is a nasty one! My pastor's wife has been out of commission for about 5 days with it, and my 17 year old daughter just got over a bout with it as well...she was knocked out for about 4 days, luckily for her there was a water main broken in town and school shut down for 2 more days (1 day after they went back from Christmas break) so it gave her a couple more days to recover.

Yes, it is a nasty bug! People all around us are getting it and it takes quite awhile to get over it.
Take good care of yourself, Ella, and I hope you and your hubby are doing well soon. If you have to, maybe you could make her party a week from Saturday. I know she will be disappointed but you can tell her it won't be such a good party if you are sick...and that it will be soooo much fancier when you feeling fine.

take good care Ella, so far we've had two catching the flu here: I did last week - had mostly fever, muscle pain and a spliting headache,. Now my son has caught it too...same symptoms only his fever is worse.

Yeah I know... The doctor said it even might take 2 weeks before it is gone!
My husband is already sick of lying in bed, he is not used to doing nothing.
He feels so bored!

While I just keep on going and do the things that have to be done.
I would love to have the time to be in bed and do nothing, just sleeping, even if it were just 2 days !!! 😀 But mom's can never be sick, right? 😉

I have 2 down with the flu right now (both my sons). I have one daughter getting over it & I'm just praying no one else gets it (especially me... LOL)....

Today was such a relief! Today was our daughters birthday party and I am very happy to mention that we ( me and my hubby) are feeling a lot better!!!
So we didn't have to cancel the party after all!

I was so worried that we would be to ill to celebrate, especially because the doctor said it might take 10-15 days to recover... But I am truly glad it didn't get that far. Now the visitors are all gone home, and we feel exhausted!
So we feel it isn't completely over yet but yay! We got through the day!
