wow, such a detailed design. How long did it takeyou? How do you not smear it?
Re: Pic of the day (NEW PIC at the end!)
It took me about 45 minutes. After I'm finished, I let it dry, then lightly spritz it with the aftercare spray I got from Henna Caravan. That keeps the paste on longer. And I am very careful.
Re: Pic of the day (NEW PIC at the end!)
Thanks everyone! I'm just loving henna so much! I held off jumping in, because I was afraid of messing up. But then I just did it. You know what? If you mess up, just wipe it off and start over. Henna is very forgiving, if you wipe it off while it's wet.
If you have been wanting to try it, but have been scared to commit, DO IT!! You will love it!

Wow, what a beautiful design....How ever did you get such straight neat lines??
I keep having a problem with the henna coming out of the cone in a spiral...maybe it is the way I roll a cone or something? Its a mystery to me.
Oh, you are in Tennessee i c. I am in North Carolina, western....about 3 hours from the Knoxville Zoon or 1.5 hours from Asheville, NC.
Would love love love to jam with henna or face paint sometime....

I'm all the way over in West TN, just north of Memphis. If you were closer, that would be awesome!
I don't think the lines are all that straight, though. I think it's just perspective. Compared to the busy-ness of the rest of the design, the lines do look pretty straight.
The spiral flow of your henna sounds like it is too thick, but I am very new and I am just guessing. I wouldn't attribute the problem to the cone shape, or how tight your tip is, unless you are just saying the tip is too tight for the consistency of the henna. That's my best guess.

I love that lace type design.. i keep forgetting about it. i don't use it nearly enough
My experience with spiraling out the tip is when i am clogged and give it a little extra squeeze to get it going. So squeezing the cone too hard.
Unless the top of the cone is all twisted, it's likely some combo of the consistency, size of the hole in the cone and pressure squeezing it.
