Why hello bikers Empty Why hello bikers

Post by Lynnie Tue Jul 24, 2012 1:53 pm

Hub and I own a bike and have been doing rides and such for awhile. Recently a lot more bike events want our services, not only to promote family stuff but for body paints.

I have arm and leg designs, no problem. Even male designs but frankly I hate all of the female chesticle designs. Loathe. If I see another set of puppies, cherries, melting ice cream cones, fruit or jugs I will scream. I've looked through photos and I'm pretty nonplussed over what is available at these types of events.

I'm thinking of doing "faux-thing", bikini and bandeau tops painted. Florals. I have a skull design (available sugared and non-sweetened) that I'm working on. Perhaps animal prints.

Anyone else do biker events? If so, what do you find to be your common requests?

Thanks!

You might want to look through some tattoo books? It seems like most "biker chicks" are like rockabilly style. But you might also find some other types of requests. It can't hurt to have more choices.

Oh, how about that stylized blue bird? Like this one:

or Pashur's spiders and scorpions?

I've also found that the stencils used for glitter tattoos are inspiring for designs.

Sugar skulls might go over well.

A lot of his are super specialized to what he was doing/advertising.

Since skulls and flowers are already on my roster, I was hoping to branch out from there.

The sparrows are a good idea, Gina. I have a tribalized one that I can do larger for shoulders. Thanks!

I LOVE that Whitney thinks those are quickies! lol Would take me forever! We are getting ready to do a "Family Friendly" Biker event... no shirts off. Still struggling with designs... Not sure whether to go with the whole tribal thing, or take what we normally do since it is family friendly... Oy!

I've done a lot of those types of events. We do a lot of skulls, flames, flaming items (dice, wheels, hearts, skulls), banners, kiddie versions of tattoos, tribals and some of our "pretty" stuff. It's fun.

Since I don't have permission to use logos, I won't be doing them.

Thanks for giving a jolt to the ol' brainpain! I hammered out 14 designs on paper last night and I have a few more in my head that I'm getting out today before I go to my concert tonight.
I'm also doing a bunch of arm and back designs.

I appreciate the kick!
Thanks all!
