Does anyone know what sort of camera Lisa Joy Young uses for her tutorials? (or can recommend a web cam or not too expensive video camera with a nice crisp image)

I bought a Microsoft Lifecam, one of the more expensive ones too. Boy, what a mistake! The picture is fuzzy and grainy and the autofocus software is buggy as, going in and out of focus every 10 seconds. It is completely useless!

I used Airmiles and got a video camera... it is still in the box. It is the size of a cellphone and apparently very good for action (like sports). I know nothing about it yet as it is sitting on my desk. It has a tripod, etc.

I did open the convection oven and labelmaker and the panini press I ordered from Airmiles at the same time and love them. What's not to love about FREE?

Free is awesome. I love free. Alas, I am not owed anything by Flybuys or airmiles or anything like that. Smile I will have to buy something.

Good luck with your free vid camera when you eventually find that spare microsecond to have a look at it, Shannon. Very Happy

Thanks Jamie. /googles the flip.

I had a really nice JVC camcorder a while back, but it was stolen when someone broke into our house a while back... I was only able to afford a sony one at half the price after that and it's worse than half the quality Sad At this point, my best video camera is my iphone.

erk, that sucks Perry. Sad they don't take great pictures or video, in my experience. always fuzzy.

I did have an embarrassing moment with my E63 phone. It took TERRIBLE photos. Really awful. Completely unusable. After about 6 months I discovered there was a wee plastic cover on the lens. Embarassed It's still not a good camera, but it's a heck of a lot better than it was!

Kodack ZI8 that we have is 3 years old and we absolutely love it, at the time it was $179...and I believe they have come down in price. Carry it to gigs for shows, bought a little external mic for it for under $40. and it picks our voices up even when we are not using mics on stage. In our research at the time it was rated well above the Flip. Castle in the Sand Hotel has video on their website we shot of our Pirate Show or go to sunshinesuniverse channel on youtube all of them are done with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvOO12HfVrM&feature=relmfu
Now this camera is not NEW and these shots are from approx. 30 feet away. But we llllllooooovvvve it, the camera has taken a beating in our purses attached to costumes, beat around in fp bags, handled by kids...it has taken the beating and is still doing grand. Hope info helps. sunny
