I was wondering if there's a good yellow out there, that doesn't stain. I have Wolfe and Paradise, but am not satisfied with the yellow tinge they leave behind. Does Snaz stain? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I don't like snaz yellow and find it difficult to work with. I use snaz sparkle yellow though I'm not delighted with it. Need to keep trying to find one I like better. Can't remember about the staining though sorry.

what kind of stains??? mine don't stain at all, and I use Paradise and Wolfe.. Are you using shampoo to remove them, or wet ones? those are the best things for removing face paint.

I use wet wipes. It happens if I've left the yellow on my son as a base for several hours. Then his face has a yellow tinge that doesn't come off until bath time.

wow! must be his skin type... everyone is different though. I've never had a color stain me before for more than one washing. Maybe if you're gonna practice on him you should apply foundation first to make a barrior... or just use a practice head... I mean, they are only $16!

Yeah, the practice head would be much less wiggly! The reason I'm concerned about it, is that I don't want other kids to get stained by it either. As a parent, I know that I would be annoyed if my child got face painted and then I really had to scrub to get some of the color off. I want to have happy customers!

Hi Ashley ~

Where do you find a practice head for only $16?! That's a price I'm willing to pay! Trouble with mine is that it stains horribly - and it wasn't cheap. Do you have one of these that you speak of? Does it stain? What do you use to clean it with?

I appreciate your advice and sharing your experience here. I am learning so much hanging out on the forum today! THANKS Smile

Dear Manja: Shannon Fennell told us about the Wimex practice head for $16. I also bought extra head slips and tattoo practice skin.
I clean my practice head with 100% acetone from my local beauty supply store. Even Wolfe black comes off the practice head with the acetone.
There was a recent thread on this forum where someone used a product called "Goof Off" to clean their practice head.
I love this forum.

I use DFX Metallic Yellow/Gold and have never had a problem with staining. I goes on beautifully and looks amazing.
I have Snazaroo yellow too and it doesn't stain, although I very rarely use it over my metallic.

I haven't seen TAG stain, but I don't use baby wipes to wash it off. I could try it today for you though.

It might be his skin type. I stain with almost every color I use. My son does too. But my husband and daughter dont stain with anything. I am using the same paints on everyone.

I have found using Olive Oil (I know it sounds weird, but it is actually very good for the skin and face) with a cotton ball will help get the most subborn stains out. (Blue and Green stain me the worst) I have tried mositurizing beforehand and I still stain.

My 'day' job is at a bank, so I cant go in stained. Olive Oil is the best! Smile

DFX Gold/yellow stains my daughter, but not my son. When I did my angel design on her, it left a halo on her forehead all day! LOL

Just ordered the TAG gold so hoping it doesn't stain near as bad Smile

I'm also looking for a good yellow! Mostly, a yellow that actually looks nice!

I tried Paradise, didn't like it. :/ The color is not strong enough to my taste. Kryolan is a little better, thought!

I yet have to find the perfect yellow.

I have not had any trouble with snaz yellow, but I like snaz and the color is good. I really only use the yellow for hello kitties nose and to highlight my monster mask...I don't have a full yellow face. I just got the tag pearl yellow, I like how it goes on, so I am looking for a full face! The only thing that stains me is green, and my kids don't stain. It seems to me that the metalics and the pearls stain Fread Head less than other colors, but I don't know if that would be the same for skin. I rinse the top layer off to keep from redepositing the paint first, then lather with ivory soap (my favorite). Ivory even gets most stains out of my sponges.

I use the 100% acetone on Fred too, everything comes right off, Walmart carries it for cheep, like 2.98 or something like that.

Oh, yah, that is snaz yellow in my avitar on the butterfly, and snaz turquoise, another favorite, and I love them together. No stain, but good color.

I just got a Wolfe metallic yellow that I am really enjoying... maybe a tad darker than the same in DFX.
Wolfe also carries a couple of other yellows, one that is just a couple shades lighter than a caution light yellow caught my eye.
