Selecting a name

I have a couple questions about selecting a business name. I like the name Imagine
I ran it thru the google search engine. There is a Face Paint company with the name in the UK and Panama. But none around here. Can I use it?...Or any thoughts? My name to me is pretty blah. Pamm. Thanks

There is nothing saying you can't use it... if you are relatively sure that there isn't anyone near you using it (you want to avoid confusion), then go for it.

Here's a couple different names. Blue skies or Paints by Pamm ugh what a difficult decision. I even like Happy Dayz face painting by Pamm

I know its hard when you dont know the person....Cutesy really isnt my personality. More earthy, save the planet, new age, hippish. lol
I do appreciate all the suggestions so far...I did some ink stamping this am so I could give a couple to my daughters teacher at the rec center... I threw on face painting by pamm with my phone number. Not too professional, but just trying to see if anything turns up. Thanks keep em coming....

Okay I have been awake nights thinking on this one....
Does anyone have the name Simply Painted Faces??? Or is that downgrading what we do???

I don't think I'd say my stuff was simple... save that for claims on furniture assembly :S ... You want to be associated with beautiful or exciting or glamourous or sparkling...

Personally I thought of words I wanted the name to evoke, then looked it up in the thesaurus for synonyms! And inspiration comes in unlikely places--I was reading the Hunger Games, and there's a character named Glimmer, it stuck with me!
