Phone number vs www?
Hi everyone,
I am wanting to make some signs to go permanently in the rear 1/4 windows of my car. Being such a small area, what do you all think is the MOST important info to put on it?
Options I have considered:
1. Business name and phone number (large font) maybe a small pic. of my logo
2. Business name and www (large font)
3. Business name, phone and www (but the font is now getting smaller!)
4. ???? any suggestions???
The window itself is a rhombus (squahed over rectangle ) so may have to do the old fashioned cut and glue on lettering to get around the corners. Then laminate the whole thing and fit to inside window.

I think website address is more important on Facebook and online advertising so people can click through and see your work. I think people THINK they will remember a website (I know it had a frog in it) but they will right down a phone number because they KNOW they won't remember it.
You could put your web address across the very bottom of your back window so it won't obscure vision.

I wonder... do you think if a car was behind you, if the passenger had a smartphone they'd look up your website? If you think that's possibility, I can see the merit in including a website as well.

I have my website and FB address on my rear window
And on both sides of the back windows

All are cut vinyl lettering.

Looks great Shannon!!! Do you have an estimate of how many new clients you get a year due to the advertisement on your car?
Re: Phone number vs www?
It paid for itself the first time (in 2007) within a month. I get calls from people saying "I saw your car" all the time.
It is well worth the expense. The first time it was under $1200 (including design) the second time (last week on my new 2012) I paid $1470 (without design as it was exactly the same, and they screwed it up a bit so they knocked off $400).
The price has increased A LOT in five years. They told me the materials are a lot more expensive now (it is a 3M product).
And it makes it really easy to get through security gates and park!!

Re: Phone number vs www?
I paid $150 from a local graphics company for this. It is perforated vinyl (I can see through it from the inside of the car).
with your particular website address, it's a little complicated for someone to just remember it... something like mine or Shannon's, is relatively easy to remember but something long, with several sections is harder. What about using a QR code instead of the website? Not so much for while driving, but when your car is parked in a lot somewhere... it can take them to your website on their phone and they will have it saved for later. http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ it's just a square image that when scanned with an app on their phone, will take them directly to the website it was created for.

Shannon, that is a kick-a$$ design!! Wow!! I would LOVE to have a car wrap like that. I can do the vinyl stuff by myself, but man I want something with my actual work. HOW COOL! Right now I just have the magnets from vistaprint, but it's not even close to that cool.
Re: Phone number vs www?
Perry... that's pretty sweet too! My business has several facets to it, but it could be fun to have the back window done too. Right now my minivan's back window has vinyl that just says, "don't be jealous of my swagger wagon". Had a hard time adjusting to being a minivan mom. lol.
Re: Phone number vs www?
Hey Perry, I now have a QR code..(in several sizes ) Love the idea. Thanks to all your input.
Shannon, I'd love to be able to do my car as you have but at the moment I only do this parttime (not a great deal of income) and hubby still wants the car to 'look normal'.
At this time I'm thinking of:
