Circus Ideas?

I have an event in two days where full faces are requested and the theme is Circus...
I will be offering a tiger, lion, chimp, elephant and a clown... there is lots to think of for cheek art, but I can't think of anymore full faced designs....
Anyone????

What about a bear, a seal, a leopard or cheeta, giraffe. This is getting hard!

I had toyed with many of your suggestions, but don't see them translating too well into full face. Thought about giraffes and zebras but they are zoo animals, not so much circus. The ringmaster is a possibility... but I don't think it will be too popular. I thought maybe a show pony... but can't come up with a design idea for it.

Full-face circus tent? LOL... I wonder how that would look. It would look awesome with a zipper I think. Like... having a stripey tent pattern on the left and ride side of the face, having it open up around the chin? Hmmm...

The man that gets shot from the cannon??? Like a helmet, Big Star over one eye... Evil Kenevil style??? Wow, This one is tough.

I think tigers, elephants, clowns, horses, do pretty faces like the circus de sole

I have a simple elephant that I started with so dont be too harsh but I am sure you can clean it up. It was on of the first full faces I did.

Thanks, jolenebox... but I already have an elephant face... however, you did inspire me to put pink in the ears, even though a real elephant doesn't have pink there... but I think it makes it look nicer!

How about adapting a unicorn that uses the eye as part of design. Put a feathery headdress where the horn would be and a bridle in pretty colours.

Ok,so I just looked in the "Circus" issue of American Face Painter. You could have three or four "styles" of clown faces easily. The ringmaster in the mag has big moustache, bushy eyebrows, and top hat with a red band around it. Brian Wolfe did a "He/She" split face in the issue. There is a pretty cool design called "Leaping Tiger" by Sabine Vogel - basically a tiger head centered on forehead with chin coming down between eyes and legs/paws on nose. Tiger is surrounded by a fiery ring. Looks like he's leaping through. There is also an elephant's headdress - red edged with yellow and with yellow tassels. Yellow swirls and decorated with bling. Completely covers forehead and extends downward on nose and cheeks ending in the tassels. That one is by Kristi Darby.

What if you did a circus tent with an animal peering out of an open flap? You could vary the animal based on what the kid wanted (elephant, giraffe, tiger, etc.). That might be kind of cute.

yes there are several types of clowns..augusta clown white face clown..tramp clown...

tattooed man/lady would be cool

also other sideshow freaks - dog faced boy, snake lady, sword swallower (maybe a sword handle coming out of the mouth). and the bearded lady and he/she already mentioned.

Wow, I just booked a circus party and these are some great ideas...thanks! Although I really don't want to do figure out a "strong man" or "tattooed lady" lol

My favorite is the ACROBATS. I bet you could come up with a sparkly mask with a lady swinging from a bar. Or maybe walking a Tightrope...
Also, a mask featuring the red and white stripes of the tent and balloons would be cool...

No it was yesterday... I was specifically asked to create a circus menu and.... NOT ONE kid wanted a dang circus face!!!! HaHaHa, jokes on me!!!!! But I got paid well and an extremely generous tip to boot so it was worth all my worrying...

That happened to me with his Superhero party I did yesterday. Mom insisted on superheroes, and I painted ONE transformer and ONE spiderman and ONE catwoman, and 15 butterflies and tigers and cheetahs. LOL. Never fails.

I've got a circus themed party tomorrow night and trying to find some ideas for just incase. I'm sure the kids will want something completely different!

I'm clowning, too. I didn't even think about offering clown faces! LOL

I need a elephant design on my board or maybe a monkey.
