Got my dragon cake!

Metina was out of the dragon cakes last time so this time I ordered one and did a dragon mask tonight...LOVE IT! I sponged on yellow, added the horns BEFORE I did the one stroke and then just outlined a bit with black. I had to redo the eye creases (broke out my Wolfe Bros. book) and I'm still bad at it, but they look better than they did before. Love the flames it does too.

TAG yellow & dragon cake. The dragon cake split uses that yellow so it blended well.

Here's the image of a flaming soccer ball using the flame cake. I made the flame shape first in yellow and then followed the outline with the flame cake (black edge out) and then filled in the middle going right along side the outside ones to fill the shape in. I outlined everything in black and covered any overlap spots with it too.

I need some practice but the cake makes the colors look really cool.

Oh, oh. I figured out a trick for soccer balls. Make the lines like you would for a 5-pointed star (in other words, divide the ball into 5 parts) THEN join the lines with straight lines to make the wonky house shape and then make triangles at the ends. I apologize if that was obvious...but it helps me. I was trying to start with the "house" first and then add the lines and triangles. I'll do a little SBS because this sounds weird.

The last one looks weird...of course, but you get the idea. Again, I'm sure you all figured that out early on but I thought I'd share.

omg flames i think i can do !!....mine never ever turn out good .....but these look awesome and i think i can do em thank you soooooooooooo much!....the mask rocks as well!!! its awesome but im really excited about the flames....lol

Could u do a SBS of the flames? I think those are my favorite of those I've seen! Love the flow! I don't quite get the part about the split cake step...
