My daughter's Frozen challenge... Empty My daughter's Frozen challenge...

Post by shadowdrawing Mon Dec 02, 2013 8:10 pm

So my daughter wanted me to paint Elsa from Disney's Frozen on her.  I told her that she would have to sit still for a long time (she can generally sit still for about 30 seconds and makes comments about everything I am doing though out the painting process).  She agrees that YES...she will sit still to have Elsa painted on her.

She didn't even last through the rough outline.

So here she is...with Elsa on her forehead.

LOL

I ended up painting it on my hand instead...

HAHAAHAHAHAAHA that is hilarious.

welcome to my life with my daughter!!!

i decided i'm gonna start recording my paint sessions with her....she always swears up and down that she will sit still, that she wants me to paint her, that she isn't going to move....

then as soon as i get the base down, she is standing up, she is crying, she is laughing, she is trying to run, she is trying to dance, she is trying to hug me, and lately, she is trying to paint me or paint herself.....my favorite is when she waits til i start outlining, and then lifts her shirt up over her head-smearing everything i've done so far, just so i can paint her belly.

but never ever have i just taken this simple route of slapping my painted hand over her face and calling it a day!

that is hilarious and genious at the same time-i'll be doing that from now on!

anyways, on to the closeup of the second picture-that looks great!

Maybe we should get the daughters together for a play date Smile
Or....I wonder if your daughter would sit still for me, and my daughter would sit still for you?? Hmmm...

Wow! It's beautiful. I have the same problem trying to paint my son. He usually sits "still"-or as close as an almost 3 yr old can come to still- just long enough for me to get the base dawn. Then, I'm chasing him around the seat trying to finish and keep him out of my paints! I'll definitely have to try this route Smile

Thank you Fairyfox and Miss Ronnie!

Yvonne - My son is 12 and I have to blackmail, bribe, or promise the purchase of a new PS3 game to get him to sit for me.  He then proceeds to look at me with big eyes and I can hear a little voice in my head (in his voice, of course) saying "Why are you torturing me?  I thought you loved me?"

Oh...did I mention that I also have to sign and notarize an agreement that states that I will never EVER post any pictures of him face painted on the internet --- in any form.  If I do, I have to sign over all my worldly possessions.  Your son is not there yet.... enjoy the wiggling while you can Very Happy

...and if it gets to be too much...just do the hand on the forehead method. Razz
