Is children's cancer awareness the only thing your company does? I'm confused, maybe there's more info on another thread? Nice work though... Hands are so hard I think!

The company is the main fundraiser for my son's cancer kids foundation. All proceeds go to funding our parent baskets for newly diagnosed families, toys for the toy drive and supplies to paint kids in treatment and other hospital kid activities.

My son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma(cancer) a month after his 2 birthday. He is now 6 and cancer free. This is our way to help others.

Sounds like an awesome foundation... Good for you for giving back! I've got a little background in graphic design and I feel the logo you've roughed up might be a bit too involved. The best logos are usually very simplistic. You want to be able to shrink them down and enlarge them without anything getting lost in the translation. Is Children's Cancer Awareness the name of your group? I strongly suggest doing some research into branding. This is such a great cause it deserves all the attention to detail you can give it. I hope my comments help a bit. Good luck!!!

I like the idea of the yellow "ribbon" and hand painting it with brush...I suggest not doing the face/profile and just the ribbon with brush" painting" it and incorp. CCA initials somehow...or not at all...its a logo....who knows it may become so well known the corp name is unnecessary.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the input!
I have reworked it a bit
This rough was an outline of photos of my son and my hand holding a brush that my hobby photoshopped. I'm simplifying the hand a bit, bringing down the forehead line to the eyes.
My company name will be going on the top at the forehead 'Pogue's Run Paints'. (My husbands photography biz that he has had forever is Pogue's Run Studio).
At the bottom in a different font will be 'children's cancer awareness'
It is a black and white logo except the gold/yellow ribbon.

The history with the "pogues run" in Indianapolis is that the first settler here was George Pogue. There is a river/large creek named pogues run.
My husband is a serval great grand child of George.
