illusion magazine

Hey guys,

Thinking about picking up a couple Illusion magazines. Anyone have any "must haves" that I should consider getting? which volumes have been your favorite?

Hmmmz, I have them all, have been buying it since the beginning... and I must say, I still love the first issues that came out... It's a great magazine, and it all depends on what you're looking for to decide which one you would consider a must-have...

So tell me... what do you expect to find in Illusion? Then I'll browse through them and make a suggestion

I only have issue 18 and I love it... Am going to start trying to get one a month, working backwards...

I find that magazine VERY inspiring!

Issue 18..and it has nothing to do with my interview being in it! Just kidding, it has a ton of great step by steps. My fav. thing about this edition would have to be the interview and designs by Jenny Saunders. Her work is colorful and looks great but very doable on the job.

Issue 12 has the artwork of Anastasia Durasova on the cover and it is pretty amazing stuff.

I love advanced stuff, but I would love to get some issues with designs that are doable (or that I can at least incorporate) into my daily work. I am not a body painter (yet), so more face painting.

bumping the topic...Anywhere to get a subscription to Illusion here in the US or is it going to be Issue by issue??

I have every issue expect 1 & 2 . You could order it online from Illusions website using PayPal. I just get my copy where I order my paints here in Australia.
There's lots of step by steps in it for faces.

Thanks, I was just wanting to get it here... Silly Farms seems to be the only one that has it and they just raised their shipping to 7.00. yikes! Theres also a book I want from Illusion store that I cant find here.

Im not sure if I can say, being that its a different vendor and all, But profacepaint.com also sells them. Dont remember how much her shipping is but she carries them. Oh I just checked and she only has issue 14 and 17 and a book from Illusion that has tons of step by steps that I personally have and are deffinately doable!
