Re: I found a new split cake container
having probs posting pics on this thread. They are in my gallery.
Re: I found a new split cake container
Nice. Though I'd abstain from putting paints in any type of metal container simply because of the nature of what we do (involving water) and the chance for rusting of containers and contamination of your splits.
Re: I found a new split cake container
Paradise palette paints come in metal... they might be aluminium though, I suppose.
Re: I found a new split cake container
I have used the plastic lozenge containers for split cake - the cepacol one holds four whole Snaz 18ml cakes!

Yes they do, and agree its probably a coated aluminum that's
meant to work well with their makeup since water is such a huge part of
the application process...
Re: I found a new split cake container
I made a few one stroke cakes in the little plastic containers that mini playing cards come in.

Re: I found a new split cake container
I'm still a huge fan of the plastic pin boxes that I found at Michael's
Re: I found a new split cake container
I used one of those too. Can those work with snaz? I know you use only snaz, and I read it can eat through plastic.

Re: I found a new split cake container
Only the individual refills of Paradise makeup (paint) comes in metal.
Given it's small size I venture it is meant to be used quickly.
All other Mehron and Mehron Paradise product line makeups come in plastic, both containers and palettes.
Kryolan makeup (paint) comes in plastic containers and metal palettes. The makeup does not touch the metal.

I only ever use Snaz... it's just fine.
Re: I found a new split cake container
I went and bought a "one week" pill box. Seven areas, seven homemade rainbow cakes. Love it! The width fits a sponge or one inch brush perfectly and each has its own snap on lid! ")
Re: I found a new split cake container
I found this while poking around and it made me raise an eyebrow
Looks like a quick clean set up for those that like lots of one stroke colour options

Check this one out! Found it for $1.49...and it has a real hinge/opens completely--no holding it open with one hand while loading with the other...

Love the idea of this, even though it has writing on it.... does anyone have this because I sure would like to know how well it accommodates one stroke cakes, since the compartment dimensions are not specified.

Re: I found a new split cake container
Does this look like the container that SF sells their "kits" in? Anyone have the dimensions on one of the kits i.e. fairyfly, etc.?

I bought this organizer from the Dollar store last year and put a couple of split cakes in them. They aren't that large though.
Re: I found a new split cake container
Yes I found those containers after fun frog posted a picture of them here somewhere - I thought they looked exactly like the fairy fly container that someone else posted a picture of - but they actually are a lot smaller! They only cost me $2 from a cheapie store here - I haven't used them yet. Fun frog (I'm pretty sure) showed she had cut out the little dividers out in some of hers to use for larger size cake.

Re: I found a new split cake container
I should have said that they are too small to fit a three quarter flat into load it. Maybe they'd be good as part of a mini kit with some half flats!
